Muslim Aid distributes cash stipend to the meritorious students of poor family background all over the country every year through a systematic selection process. This year it has started the process of students’ selection through visiting the educational institutions and relevant authorities in Rangpur Division.
On 13 March 2019, the team led by Masum Billah, Programme Coordinator of Muslim Aid in its Dhaka office met Mr. Enamul Habib, Deputy Commissioner (DC, the highest administrative authority of Bangladesh Government at district level), Rangpur who appreciated Muslim Aid’s valuable activities in the country. He expressed his interest to extend his all-out cooperation to Muslim Aid in Muslim Aid’s activities including the students’ selection process and stipend distribution in his district. Besides, the team also met Mr Omar Faruk, Assistant Professor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur for his cordial cooperation into the process of students selection and stipend distribution in the area.
During 8-11 April a team composed of Md. Abdus Samad, Senior Programme Manager-Education, and Masum Billah, Programme Coordinator visited Sylhet region and conducted series of meetings with different departmental Heads, Dean, Proctors, Doctors, Professors and admin staff of Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet Agricultural University, M.A.G Osmani Medical College & Hospital, Sylhet Government Technical & Vocational College for having a list of potential students for stipend this year.
